After careful consideration of all applications, the 2019 FoodWorks Murrindindi Business Awards Finalists have now been announced. Finalists are listed in no particular order.
The winners will be announced at the Gala Ceremony in Yea on Tuesday 25th June 2019. Bradley Irvine - Belle Ridge
Still growing but I breed Boer goats mainly for the meat market. We use Thornton Butchers to debone the goats then the meat is going to Grant St Grocers in Alexandra. We are keeping it local as much as possible, but by next year my numbers will be close to 100 breeding nannies, therefore I will then be able to start supplying Melbourne with my excess goat meat. I also breed with two other special Boer billys. One is on the miniature scale, and this is great for families and farms with children / grandchildren, who want friendly smaller goats to play with. The other is a brown Boer billy and he is a side project to see if I can breed the highly prized and wanted complete brown Boer.
